Reflection on the class and my learning:
The class was set up to be a discussion-based class. Each class time was spent discourse on the articles we studied in the textbook. The text book was a compilation of writings from business, economics and political leaders that relate to business. Each week, we were assigned a two to three readings and at class we would discuss and debate the principles and theories that were presented. I enjoyed reading the writings from some the great historical figures, as they made me realize some of the current events that are happening are closely related to what has happened in the past and is, in some instances, consequence of decisions or theories of the past. My thoughts of the role of business and capitalism were greatly affected by the text and the ensuing classroom conversations.
